Ahuano: the Beginning!
Praying that each of you, wherever you are in your walk with the Lord, are finding peace and joy in Him. Rest in His mercy; it is without end.
As I mentioned before, there are five guys in Ahuano and four girls in Misahualli. We all represent Family Missions Company. The three new guys are: Jason, Seth, and Noah. The four girls are: Rachel (leader), Candice, Lauren, and Jessica.
Before we left Quito to come back to Ahuano, we had a small retreat at a beautiful location outside of Quito. We spent personal time with the Lord really asking Him what His desire is for Ecuador. I began reading the call of Moses again in Exodus. When God calls Moses, he first responds to God with these words: ‘Here I am.’ (Exodus 3:4) Every morning I want to wake up with these words upon my lips: ‘Here I am.’ Let us desire to be completely His, servants to our Mighty King, ready and willing to do His will.
We finally arrived in Ahuano this past Wednesday. I feel that this year, with your help and your prayers, is going to be so fruitful. It is going to be a year of many adventures, praising Him every step of the way. I cannot wait to share all of our stories, all of His miracles, with you. For me, from the scripture I have been reading and from the people who He has put in my life recently, I believe this will be a year of healing and great joy.
Since we have arrived, we have been working on cleaning our new home and preparing ourselves for this year’s mission. We are currently creating our schedule of ministry. We are really excited because we will be able to cover more ground with 5 guys. Already, the new guys are jumping right in… Gloria a Dios!
Please know that YOU are with us on this journey, as a part of the Body of Christ, YOU are very much a part of the evangelization of the jungle. Please continue praying for us:
– For the gift of speaking of Spanish for Jason, Seth and Noah
– For all God’s holy angels to protect Ahuano from the attacks of the devil
– For many of the men who struggle with alcohol abuse
– That, as a leader for this team of men, I may understand what it means to have Fear of the Lord. That I may hear His voice and always be ready to say: ‘Here I am.’
Give them heaven!
Misionero Ryan
