Founder of Family Missions Company
Frank Summers, his wife, Genie, and their family have served as Catholic Lay Missionaries since 1975. They are founders of Family Missions Company. Frank’s testimony takes him from practicing law and being the Assistant District Attorney to missionary, from the father of one child to the father of seven. He has seventeen grandchildren. He has been a featured speaker at conferences, retreats, and Catholic events at home and abroad.
They and their missionaries have worked to proclaim Jesus and His Gospel and to serve the poor in the USA, Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and Oceania. Audiences have loved Frank’s testimony and he speaks on: Evangelization, Missionary Life, Family Life, the Holy Spirit, Life in the Spirit Seminar, Holiness, Social Justice, Lay Apostolate, Basic Ecclesial Community, and Prayer and Bible Reading.
Mr. Summers was honored with the Diocese of Lafayette’s Medal for The Bishop’s Service Award.
Founder of Family Missions Company
Genie Summers, and her husband, Frank are the founders of Family Missions Company, they have served as Lay Catholic Evangelists proclaiming the Gospel and serving the poor across globe since 1975.
Over the years, Mrs. Summers’ conference and retreat ministry has reached International and National Venues – including the Women’s Conference at Franciscan University, CCRNO, Eucharistic Conferences, Evangelistic Conferences, Ecumenical events, Pro-Family and Pro-Life Ministry, Youth and Catholic Charismatic Conferences, Basic Ecclesial Community Conferences, Clergy and Religious Community Retreats….
Genie has an English degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Go! You Are Sent, volume one of the testimony of their faith journey, has reached thousands with the story of miracles and faith. Volume two, Our Family’s Book of Acts, has been distributed in Asia and has a new reprint with pictures in the USA. Genie has seven children and seventeen grandchildren. She has visited 47 countries, sharing her Catholic Faith and mission miracles. She enjoys speaking on: Catholic Motherhood, Home Schooling, The Missionary Life, Family Life, the Holy Spirit, The Life in the Spirit Seminar, Holiness, Living the Scriptures….
David Yarborough grew up in the Methodist Church, but lived a relatively agnostic life until 1996. After two years of RCIA classes, he converted to Catholicism. David graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1987 and served as an Officer in the Coast Guard for 12 years. After a radical conversion to Christ and his Church, David has devoted his life to winning souls for the Kingdom of God and to build His Church on earth. He studied for one year toward a Masters of Theology at the University of Dallas, but stepped away from this degree to follow a calling to the mission outreach of Breath of Life ministries. In 2011, after many years of supporting FMC, the Yarborough family took the plunge and became full time missionaries. David loves to share his testimony and conversion story, as well as speaking on family life, marriage, manhood, fatherhood, spiritual warfare, missionary work, apologetics, Life in the Spirit, the Church, etc…
Lisa Yarborough is a cradle Catholic, who experienced a deepening conversion through the influence of Our Lady and the Charismatic Renewal. She is a homeschooling mother of six children and has a love for the Holy Eucharist and bringing families closer to Christ. She enjoy speaking along side of her husband, David. She can share about family life issues, home-schooling, Life in the Spirit, modesty, Mary, Motherhood, the Eucharist, St. Ignatius Prayer, and more.
Director of Family Missions Company
Joseph is a proud husband and father to a beautiful son and baby on the way. The present director of Family Missions Company, his life and upbringing as a foreign missionary have given him a unique love and appreciation for what it means to be part of the universal Church. Joseph has been blessed to share his faith here in the United States and across the globe. He takes joy in every opportunity to share the Gospel, whether in front of an audience of one or thousands. In addition to speaking at retreats, rallies, and conferences, Joseph has a passion for worship, and has been invited as a worship leader locally and internationally. He loves to speak on Missions, Faith in Action, God is Love, and his greatest love JESUS.
Missionary and Director of Family Missions Company
Brooke’s passion and sincere love for the Lord are evident in everything she does, as both a wife and mother, as well as a missionary and director of Family Missions Company. Her powerful testimony of conversion and call to mission have inspired many. Brooke’s style of sharing is convicting as she relates the truth in love. Brooke enjoys sharing her Testimony, and topics such as the Call to Holiness, Chastity, and Missions.
Alyse Spiehler has been an FMC missionary from age seven. She has gone to six foreign countries to proclaim the gospel and witness to Jesus Christ. Alyse has a passion for spreading the Good News, and has experience sharing on various topics including servant’s hearts, materialism, modesty, missions, God’s love, living the gospel as a youth, and on her personal missionary experience.
Alyse now lives in Lafayette, Louisiana with her family as she completes her Senior year of high school. She continues her missionary work in the United States through prayer groups, assisting in summer camps, leadership positions at school, and speaking at events.
Hollis Yarborough is 18 years old and the oldest of six children. She loves being part of a big Catholic family. Two of her favorite things are Adoration & ice cream. The Lord has put a passion in her heart for proclaiming the gospel of life, especially to the youth. Ever since she was young she has had a deep desire to learn, live out, and proclaim the Lords great love. She says: “I love the youth because I am the youth. I know what it means to try to live a pure life and be knocked down. Life is not easy, but only by Christ strength can we better live for Him.” She has spoken at retreats, schools, and youth groups across Louisiana and Texas. A large part of her mission outreach includes leading and attending girls groups, bible studies and youth groups. She has a passion to share about: God’s Great Love, Modesty, The Worth of Each Soul, Purity & Chastity, Fully Living Life for Christ, Theology of the Body, Relationships, and other Women’s interests.
